Every flooring verdict here was made by a person looking at photographs of the room — never by an AI model, and never copied from a listing description. Rows marked Stayed & reviewed are ones we have slept in, and link to our full write-up; the rest were judged from photographs of the room. Found carpet where we said there was none? Tell us and we will pull the listing. Booking links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you — it never affects whether a hotel is listed.
How we checked the 20 hotels in Paris
All 20 were judged from the hotels' own room photographs. 13 are independents and 7 belong to a chain. All 20 were checked in September 2026. A hotel that refurbishes can change, so each row carries the date we last looked at it.
Carpet is where dust, dander and mite allergen collect in a hotel room, and it is the one thing a booking site will not tell you about. Every hotel on this page has hard floors in the room itself — wood, tile, stone, vinyl plank or polished concrete — established by a person looking at photographs of that room before it was listed. We check the room, not the corridor, and corridors are not yet recorded for these hotels — a hard-floored room can still open onto a carpeted hallway.

Common questions
Which hotels in Paris have no carpet in the rooms?
20 that we have checked individually: 123 Sébastopol, Artus Hotel, Atmosphères, Dandy, Holiday Inn : Gare de L’est, and 15 more in the table above. Every one has a hard floor in the guest room itself — wood, tile, stone, vinyl plank or polished concrete.
How do you know these Paris hotels are carpet-free?
All 20 were judged from the hotels’ own room photographs. No verdict here comes from a hotel’s own description or from an AI model reading one; a person looked at a photograph of the room.
Are the corridors carpet-free too?
We record the room floor for every hotel on this page. Corridors are a separate column and are not yet recorded for Paris, so we do not claim either way — a hotel can have hard floors in the room and carpet in the hallway. If that matters to you, ask the hotel before booking.
Are these chain hotels or independents?
Both. 7 of the 20 belong to a chain and 13 are independent. Chains are the more predictable bet for hard floors — the newer design-led brands are built that way — but being part of a chain guarantees nothing, which is why each property here was checked on its own rather than assumed from its brand.
